Processing Line for Leafy Vegetables

BINDER has planned and built complete processing lines for sheet products such as parsley, dill, coriander, celery, peppermint, or spinach for many decades.

The harvested raw material is uniformly fed though a cutting machine via a metering bin. At the leaf sorter, unwanted coarse stems are excreted from the leaf portion.

Depending on customer requirements, a washing machine with downstream mechanical surface drying can be used.  After drying, the leaf products are further processed through screening plant with optional viewing. At the request of the customer, a cleaning mechanism and/or a metal detctor can be added to the processing line.

The high-quality finished product is packaged and weighed in bulk containers such as bags or cartons.
