Air Drying

Our air dryer designs are suitable for batch and continuous drying of a variety of products.  The different types of belt-dryers can be built to fit almost any physical parameters, customized to ensure maximal efficiency. Drying temperature, residence time of the product as well as the air velocity and the air direction will be considered by our expert staff for each particular product.

The product to be dried is conveyed in an appropriate container through the dryer housing and moved through the hot air during the drying time.  Appropriate product layer depth is a prerequisite for efficient, even drying.

Both the product characteristics and the drying process mechanics can allow for mixing the product. This can be done by redirecting the product load via a multi-stage dryer or multi-belt dryer, resulting in an improvement in product quality.

Depending on the product requirements, belt dryers are equipped with the appropriate conveyor belt material:

• Stainless steel wire mesh
• Polyester fabric
• Stainless steel hinge plate band
• Teflon fabric tape

Heating

For the heating of the air, the following technologies are available:

• Direct and indirect gas heating
• Thermal oil heating
• Electric heater

Often, recycled heat from other processes may be involved in the heating.
